Timebreaker Constitution
TIMEBREAKER CONSTITUTION
This Constitution of Timebreaker was adopted in October
2003.
Name
‘Timebreaker’ will be the name for the community project on
Goldhill Common
Basis
Timebreaker unites all churches in Chalfont St Peter and
Gerrards Cross who commit to working together on the
Timebreaker project for the good of the local community and
for the glory of God.
Objectives:
• To enable local churches to play a central role in the
life of the local community
• To encourage the local churches to work together in a
positive manner
• To prepare the churches for the coming year of ministry
• To help to build a positive and genuine sense of
‘community’ in Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross
• To give all volunteers a clearer idea of their gifts and
abilities and to train them as they seek to serve in our
community
• To affirm that each person is special
• To give children and young people and their families a
positive experience of Christianity
• To give all people an opportunity to hear and to respond
to the claims of Christianity
• To see whole families being welcomed into the lives of our
local churches
Organisation
The ‘Timebreaker Week’ will be organised each year by the
‘Timebreaker Management Committee’ which will be made up of
no more than 14 volunteers form all participating local
churches. The committee shall elect a ‘Chairperson’, a
‘Project Manager’, an ‘Administrator’ and a ‘Treasurer’. The
‘Timebreaker Management Committee’ will meet as often as is
necessary for the successful planning of the Timebreaker
week and will be accountable to the leaders of the local
churches.
Finance
Each church shall be encouraged to offer an annual financial
contribution towards the running costs of Timebreaker. Other
monies will be sought from; local business sponsorship,
grants, and fundraising.
Amendments to the Constitution
This constitution may only be amended at an Annual General
Meeting of the ‘Timebreaker Management Committee’. |
