Timebreaker Equal Opportunities Statement

• Timebreaker is a Christian organisation run by local churches in Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross.

• Timebreaker is a Christian organisation committed to social justice and actively opposed to discrimination in society.

• Timebreaker seeks to provide services on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account only the needs of people referred. No person requiring services from Timebreaker will be treated less favourably than any other person on the grounds of race, colour, nationality or ethnic origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, educational skills or religion.

• Timebreaker will seek to encourage volunteers representing all sections of the community it seeks to serve, provided individuals are able to carry out their work in a manner which promotes and authenticates the Christian faith.

• Timebreaker will ensure that no volunteer applicant receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, nationality or ethnic origin, gender, disability, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements that cannot be shown to be justifiable. (In applying this policy, there is the proviso that a disability does not prevent any applicant from carrying out the function of the job effectively.).

• Timebreaker will always welcome appropriate individuals from minority groups among its attendees and volunteers.

• Implementation of this policy is the duty and responsibility of all Timebreaker volunteers.

• A copy of the policy will be made available to all volunteers.

• It is the intention of Timebreaker that no individual or organisation connected with its activities shall hinder the positive implementation of this policy.

• Timebreaker will seek a commitment to equal opportunities on the part of any other agencies, both statutory and voluntary, with which Timebreaker works in partnership.
